World: An interleaf of verses from Psalm 127, recently cited in this thread, and some news of the United Methodist Church in America, over these last years.

The ad below, which is a screenshot, appeared on a certain imposter "REVEREND's" social media page.

It was posted by her to show the high tolerance level her denomination, the UMC.

It actually shows the degradation of this denomination stemming from it no longer looking up to God or depending on his providence as David instructed us in Psalm 127.

UMC

As to "religious" and "military" voices propounding different sides in the mess of the Ukraine-Russia war, one finds an interesting back story about one:
"Collins argued in a new academic paper that Marxism, identity politics, and other radical ideologies have altered society and infiltrated United Methodist institutions with ongoing implications for the denomination today." And...

"Collins presented a striking chart at the outset of his paper that chronicled the declining number of UMC adherents in the United States since 1970:"

Mother Teresa is cited in this thread, and a sentence in the midst of a longer quote, too easily missed, but which stood stand out: "But you cannot give what you don't have." From both the spiritual and fiscal domains, this is an apt observation. But in terms of our nation, the fiscal side of "what we don't have" is liquidity, cash, financial stabilty as this nation races towards ever more massive debt, a trillion more every three months.

We need preserve and better our nation, and fundamental to that is, in part, fiscal common sense.
