A visual glimpse inside the sheer scale of luxury and opulence of some of the homes touched by the wildfires. The video title says $83 Million but it had since upped in value to $125 Million in 2023, and was by this year listed for a whopping $450 Million as of the start of this year according to realtor.com.
It is/was known as The San Onofre Estate and was featured on Season 4 of the show Succession.

The bad ashes have bad stuff in them.
It will take a superfund effort to vacuum up all those ashes.
I estimate a minimum build time, after obtaining permits, will be 18 months for the average $3-$5 million home. These large properties, upwards of 3 to 5 years. It is going to take a boatload of skilled artisans and craftsmen to rebuild these homes. A good contractor with the skilled craftsmen necessary to do this work can name his price.
