Did you allow 5 minutes for acceleration?

Assuming reaching the travel speed at once, the first train would cover 120 miles by 7AM. Dividing the remaining 325 miles by the combined speed of 130 gives 2.5 hours and a crash time of 9:30.

Train Collision Time Calculation

Train from Wokeville:

- Leaves at 5:00 AM.

- Travels at 60 miles per hour.

Train from DEIBurgh:

- Leaves at 7:00 AM.

- Travels at 70 miles per hour.

Distance between Wokeville and DEIBurgh: 455 miles.

The train from Wokeville has a 2-hour head start:

- Distance covered by Wokeville train in 2 hours: 60 miles/hour * 2 hours = 120 miles.

- Remaining distance to cover: 455 miles - 120 miles = 335 miles.

Relative speed of the two trains:

- 60 miles/hour + 70 miles/hour = 130 miles/hour.

Time to cover the remaining distance:

- 335 miles / 130 miles/hour = 2.57692307692 hours.

- Converted to hours and minutes: approximately 2 hours and 34.61 minutes.

Time of collision:

- 7:00 AM + 2 hours and 34.61 minutes = 9:34:37 AM (rounded to the nearest second).
