I’ve worked with folks on H1B who were fantastic, and I’ve worked with ones that are absolutely useless... Just like ALL employees. Anyone claiming H1B’s are all great, is just lying.
Worked with countless folks from all over the world in my career, I don’t care about anyones background when I work with them, I just care if they can do the job and do it effectively. Elon tossing the “racist” label out at anyone who opposed H1B is repugnant. I know he’s only recently converted from being a Liberal, but he needs to re-evaluate his statements.
My experience with H1B is, point blank, the program is a scam, period. I’ve seen it first hand countless times. This program is not salvageable, it needs gone. There is no shortage of US tech workers... there might be in some geographic areas, but not so much that we need to be importing folks to fill jobs. If they are importing folks to fill jobs its because they simply don’t want to pay the prevailing wages to get an American to do the job.
