You’re saying that sea water can be used to put out fires?

I can understand that you don’t use it for growing grass, crops etc. But why don’t they use salt water for fighting fires?

They should use it for fire fighting. It's an unlimited water source. The Navy uses sea water on every fire but electrical. Every sprinkler system and hydrant in Cali coastal area including mountains should be hooked to a sea water system. It offers a lot of advantages and would in places cut manpower needs greatly. Including above ground sprinklers above ground in high risk districts and areas. Cheaper to operate and maintain.
