“California has suffered from extreme droughts for years now”
Wet years are the exception in that part of the world.
Wait until the atmospheric big river in the sky returns. The Californians are going to learn about erosion causing California to fall into the Pacific. These fires are just the beginning. I’m just glad the California DemonRATS got all of the ballots they needed to “win” some extra House seats counted before the fires started. (SARC) The fire has made it where those ballots will never be counted again.
That’s been my contention for years. If dry weather is the norm, then dry years aren’t “droughts,” they’re just normal weather.
California does have a long-term drought of competent leadership, though.
