No surprise here, I see this every day. Elderly people driving very slow, last minute multiple lane changes, etc.
I have said for years that seniors should have annual road tests.
“seniors should have annual road tests”
I had two grandmothers who hit several pedestrians their last few years of driving.
If they could go a year without hitting anybody they passed their “road test”. :-)
I don’t think poor eyesight was their issue. They just had trouble paying attention to the road and had terrible response time if a pedestrian was in front of them. They both lived in a busy inner suburb with a lot of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
New drivers should have the same. Dui? Revoked license for 10 years first time.
Reckless driving, revoked for 10 years. Sideshows? Revoked permanently and keep them in jail for min 10 years.
Remove all the modern babysitting features from all cars. The quality of Motorists is degrading the more of this crap they add.
Idiots in 1.5ton vehicles are more dangerous then someone with a firearm.
My in laws live in Illinois where there is an annual driver test after a certain age. He was the worst driver ever but he somehow managed to pass the test every year. I think it was a scam to collect more money.
