Yup. It is like all those Nobel Prizes and Pulitzer Prizes. It is a real award that took place in history, and rescinding it doesn't change the history. I attended a Catholic seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut. I despise Oliver Cromwell, but was not interested in changing the name in part because it represents the history of the area. O.J. Simpson is in the Pro-Football Hall of Fame. Whatever he did after that election does not change the fact. A bad vote or selection reflects on the people who made the choice.
