When did they start naming winter storms the way we name hurricanes?

That’s what I was asking...

I guess the answer is now.... because it gives the media something to make it more competitive with all the other crap that is going on today.

It’s been a recent thing brought on by the weather channel people in the last couple of seasons. I’m wondering how this will affect insurance since, as a “named storm” (Hurricanes), with us that means higher deductibles.

I think they got the idea about the time they changed how we name hurricane’s genders.

Winter storms are now named to help stoke fear of the climate change boogy man. A fearful population is easier to manipulate and control.
