I was pondering this the other day. Politics is actually life views. It’s no separate. I can love someone despite their politics, but being close to the person and in constant contact must be difficult.
Thankfully, we are all on the same page. My son and DIL weren’t for awhile, but they’ve really come around - sometimes I feel like he’s more “right” than me lol.
OTOH, I’ve been quite surprised at how the same MAGA crowd which excoriates pro-abortion women has been remarkably tolerant of the pro-abortion soon-to-be First Lady. So I guess if you ignore your core principles, you can still admire someone who is the opposite.
We are all just people, falling short of the Perfection of Christ. Sometimes you just have to accept the 85% solution because it is better than the 20% solution.
