I just checked ... George Washington was not a signer of the Declaration. He made up for it by leading the Continental Army.

He presided over the Constitutional Convention; his signature is first on that document as President and Delegate from Virginia.

Yes. I forgot to mention that. But of course, Washington’s actions spoke even louder than the DOI signatories.
