If the hull is intact, could he not lighten it and refloat it on the next tide?
Of course, the locals may have already lightened it for him.

Actually, from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach is more like a 30 minute tour.......IF THAT.

Sailboats have keels......and that one looks completely buried in the sand.

If the hull is taking on water, quick patch it and still go out and let it sink off shore.
$25,000 just to move that junker inland? Hell no.

There’s no tugboat with a rope to haul it off for less than $20K?
That should be a couple of hundred at best.
Find some rednecks with a powerboat.

One dollar plus $25,000 to have it moved off the beach?

Not running an anchor alarm app on his phone is turning into a costly mistake.
The sailboat is , unless the keel is lead, is worth nothing.

“Hell yes and he could get a dozen locals with ropes...”
The first person to attach a rope to the boat officially ‘salvages’ the boat and is the new owner.
To prevent salvage a professional company is the best path.

$1 gets one the title. (“As-is, where-is,” is my guess.) Then whatever ingenious way the new owner can get their used sailboat off the beach if $25K is too much.

If that boat has a keel, it’s buried in the sand and heavy equipment will have to lift it from the beach side and flatbed tow it to a marina somewhere........hence the pricey removal cost.

I hear ya. Some aren’t getting the keel problem.
Same thing happened 20 or so miles north of this last year.....that one sat on the beach so long the tides beat it into pieces.
Took forever to get that pizza chit removed.

His boat looks very poorly maintained (big surprise). It’s probably overpriced at $1.
