“Clean Path transmission line. This is a proposed 175-mile high-capacity (4 GW) transmission line to bring to New York City and the downstate region power generated at various new “renewable” (wind and solar) facilities being developed in the northern and western parts of the state. The stated cost of this major project was to be $11 billion.”
Solar panel placement in say SE Virginia or eastern North Carolina to generate electricity for transmission to metro NYC might be practical.
Another possibility is solar panel placement in Florida to make liquid hydrogen to run power plants in New York.
The 100% zealotry of Biden and New York government is absurd.
Perhaps school scheduling in the northeastern US should attempt to reduce summer CO2 emissions. School vacations might be in the spring and early fall. Only a small percentage of New Yorkers do farm work.
If only New York had a couple of nuclear reactors to produce cheap, clean energy. Oh wait, they had that then killed off the reactors, which had high decommissioning costs which were then passed onto customers.
Summer CO2 emissions would be the emissions most likely to melt polar ice.
