They seem a bit unclear on the law of cause and effect.
The law of cause and effect is an aspect of natural law which the Muslims do not understand.
Christianity, Judaism and most other religions acknowledge natural law; Islam does not.
That is why they act so surprised and shocked when they have a head-on collision with the laws of cause and effect, consequences, reciprocity, and the law of sowing and reaping.
