Islam, while recognizing that Jesus Christ is in fact real, denies His Deity and therefore is unbelief, by Biblical definition and qualifies as antichrist / spirit of antichrist.
(that was for the thread)
Therefore, as a pre-tribber, I expect the Church to be removed just prior to the 70th week of Daniel beginning, but the adherents of Islam remaining with many (including church goers that don’t actually believe the Scriptures) left behind and many will follow the anti-messiah Antichrist Man of Sin.
Many of them will become persecutors of the Tribulation Saints (except perhaps a few of them that finally believe).
In fact, I expect Satan’s False Prophet to essentially “unite” all of the world’s “religions” into a One-World Religion that worships the “instead-of messiah” Antichrist.
When the Abomination the Causes Desolation is set up in Jerusalem, and the Mark of the Beast is deployed, I expect there to be some rebellion and those will become Tribulation Saint martyrs (by refusing the Mark of the Beast).
I expect strict adherents of Islam to be among the Beast’s foot-soldiers.
You very well could be 100% correct. I don’t have strong beliefs — except to know your Bible and to expect the unexpected.
My go to example of this were the Pharisees (sp?) of Jesus’s day.
These were guys who lived and breathed scripture. They were devout and (generally) good intentioned. Smart. And literally there.
Many just flat missed Jesus as Messiah — because they had some very preconceived ideas of how the Messiah would come and what would happen. The idea of a “two part” arrival was not on their radar — they were looking for the lion laying down with the lamb, a conquering Messiah, the changing of the world order and really nature itself.
When that didn’t happen, they missed the boat.
So, my main belief is these guys were smarter than me, more devout, spoke and wrote Hebrew, but were wed to a (very reasonable) interpretation of scripture and prophecy that was wrong.
So my one bit of advice is to know scripture and prepare to be surprised when it doesn’t work out like a “Left Behind” book (or Seventh Day book or whatever).
False. Islam acknowledges Christ is a prophet of God.
