Typical useless “authorities” from our bureaucratic agencies. Maximum inconvenience to upstanding citizens, depriving them of FREEDOM in the name of “safety”, while utterly FAILING at their JOB which is to underwrite citizen safety and security by PREVENTING incidents such as this.
Burn those bureaucracies to the ground! Send their minions into enduring unemployment leading to deep deprivation. They are not merely dysfunctional, they are malevolent.
That got this way because of rapacious lawyers suing them over a loss with juries biased against police. "Safe" is when they are safe from getting sued. It's one of the reasons so many LEOs look at the law abiding public as a threat to them.

They could assign teams of three agents to accompany each AirBnB renter from the cordoned off area, one address at a time, to retrieve their personal belongings, at a cost of having the Feds do a wanding and bomb sniffing of their rental and their vehicle. Triage anyone elderly, those who need their medications or people with babies/toddlers.
