Exactly.` AI can replicate, duplicate, imitate, calculate, etc. . . . but it cannot CREATE.
The fierce AI proponents who believe it is "superior" are wrong. They're also guilty of the sin of pride, which is what got Lucifer's ass kicked out of Heaven in the first place. The fearful, who believe every word they read and every podcast they watch from so-called "experts" on the Internet, are simply deceived.
3:15 brings our prayer time.
Join together to pray for
our nation and FRens.
Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.
1 Chron. 16:11
Exactly right. Clif High keeps trying to drive this point home with people who fear AI. People that listen to people that say AI will be dangerous on it's own are mistaken. AI can only do what it's code tells it do do. That might some nefarious stuff, but the programmer is the nefarious consciousness. AI isn't and never will be able to be conscious or self-aware. Now, if you do a largely paperwork job, say a paralegal, you should fear your job going to AI. If you are a programmer, you need to fear AI taking your job (it already is). I find myself in a fortunate position in the IT arena where I mind the robots. My job is safe (for now).
Everything I’ve seen of AI so far, it’s basically doing what it’s told. If you ask it a question, it answers as if it’s Wikipedia. So, garbage in, garbage out. Good ingredients, good output.
Of course, there’s far more to it than just looking up things or asking questions. It’s a little bit out of my area of expertise though. I’m still trying to deal with actual stupidity out in the world.
Good comparison.
