I know it’s been discussed before, but can a preemptive pardon actually be legal? I know that such things have been done, but have they ever been contested in the past? I think it was Ford’s pardon of Tricky - errr - Nixon that was done preemptively, but maybe it just wasn’t contested.
I think this massive pardon nonsense is just a delay tactic. An attempt to hamstring the Trump administration and Justice from swiftly taking down all the traitors that have been attacking this country for the last decade or two. Pardon or not, they all need to be taken to court and the cases shown to the public, even of no sentence can be carried out.
They will not be able to walk the streets.
