I had a tremendous revelation about Borax last year involving addition of Borates to one’s swimming pool using several different forms including Boric Acid and Mule Team Borax ... needed a lot to get up to effective levels but once I did I’ve yet to see even a single spore of algae in my pool since then. It’s next to impossible to get good information about the use of borates in a swimming pool from swimming pool + chemical stores + suppliers etc for the simple reason they work and when you don’t have algae you use less of the chemicals they want to sell you.

Thats interesting but do be careful. For many things the difference between medicine and poison is dose.
Ive been using borax for years in many ways, including as a poison to kill insects and other unwanted pests by getting them to ingest it.
