At first when I saw this, I thought we had just dodged a "Seven Days in May" situation. But now I think this discovery makes the situation even more perilous. The plan is known, and key people in Trump's and Hegseth's orbit know who the players are. We're talking about not just a major scandal but trials for sedition and possibly treason.

Having been caught in the open, the players have only two courses of action open. Either they commit suicide to avoid being arrested, or they set off a coup within the next day or so to prevent Trump's inauguration.
