LOL - no, he saw it laying on the side of the road as he was making his way to work one morning. He stopped, wrestled it into the bed of his truck, and carried on his way to work. It was probably cut or broken loose already, and I suspect that the city was going to repair/replace it later that day.

I saw it a few days later, we went down to the basement to shoot some pool (and drink some beer, no doubt) and there it was standing against the wall.

He had a knack for doing the more significant unruly things. Rarely, but not never, I’d join him.
