That’s a good video. Didn’t know the helicopter was by radio ordered to return to base multiple times and there was no answer. That is alarming and suggests that something was going on.

Three. it was a training mission. They had night site goggles on which shouldn't have made a difference.

Most helicopters don’t. There wouldn’t be any gouge if they did. This was VFR at least a 1000 ft ceiling 3 miles visibility. Likely CAVU (clear and visibility unlimited). Got it on film. By the looks of the helo wreck they will have to find the pilot/copilot heads on the bottom of the river. Haven’t heard the audio yet.
