I don't know any masons who would have voted unanimously, three times, to accept Joe Biden.

This assumes he was raised to Master Mason. I don't see how he could have memorized the required ritual in order to be raised. It was hard enough when I was 30.

Let’s see if they have the nerve to get the band together one more time to issue a “joint” statement. He was Ike's Secretary of State, but there is another story of his work as the co-head of the investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman, along with his brother Allen, that occurred around Christmas 1941.

FDR got word from his Secretary of the Treasury that BBH was still funneling money to Hitler after we had declared war on Germany. Prescott Bush, GHW Bush's father, was the delivery man. FDR picked up the phone and called John Foster Dulles at BBH with J. Edgar Hoover in the room listening in. Hoover got years of mileage telling this story at parties on the Upper West Side of Manhattan that he attended with Clyde Tolson. Hoover was a gifted mimic, and if you closed your eyes, you would swear that FDR was in the room with you.

I'm Protestant, but I think the answer may suit Christians in general.

I sat through a funeral service featuring a Mason Lodge leader and about 24 of their members who arrived all wearing their aprons.

In the service, the leader said there was no higher honor available on Earth than the possession of the Masonic apron and it sounded like he compared it with spiritual Salvation (need the apron to pass into the other realm upon death). He described death as the deceased 'climbing the golden ladder and being met by countless others with shining faces'. All of this happened without God or faith, in his telling. He was completely intense in all his statements which elevated Masonry above all else on earth or in heaven.

It was an unusual service with both a Christian and Masonic eulogist. The Christian pastor went to the mic after the Masonic version of death and resurrection had concluded. He spoke to those 24 stone-faced Masons (no pun, but there's opportunity here) in a fatherly, warm way, as he refuted their humanist self-salvation. (they ultimately decide who is awarded heaven by deciding who is a Mason).

The Christian pastor gently said, "Now I know you don't believe that only Masons go to heaven, because you wouldn't accept that your wives and children couldn't go to heaven because they weren't Masons..." and so on. All the Masons were glaring at him but he continued along this vein.

The Masons replaced Christ's sacrifice for our sins with their belief that only Masons could 'climb the shining ladder' and overall, elevating obligation to Masonic princibles etc. over God and the Bible. I think many Christian denominations might quibble with the Mason view of death and the afterlife.

Masonic induction services also make promises (swear to..." which must put such promises ahead of the will of God; that's my opinion based on reading their texts.
