Good call.
I thought that last year, when they were better than I’ve ever seen them, and figured, Super Bowl. So close, but didn’t make it.
This year they’re even better than last year. I figured if they lost on the road yesterday vs SF, they wouldn’t make it through the playoffs. Well, that’s moot. :^)
Lot of injuries to prime players this season.
Turns out, they’ve got a deep bench and deep coaching.
Wow, watched the YT highlights, “first game since 1937 with 10 TDs and no punts”. IOW, defenses had their hands full.
I was arguing with my bro about this last year, he is a total Lions fan - even stuck with them when they went 0-16. I’ve been a Wolverine fan since the 60’s as a child in rural Iowa when the only station that came in was black and white and full of static, it was some football team in some state far away. Little did I know that one day I’d spend most of my life close to the same place, The Big House.
The Wolverines won the National Championship last year followed by the Lions this year winning the Super Bowl, now that would be historic.
