I value his opinion and judgement as well.
I know Mike Johnson is disliked by many on Free Republic, judging by comments made. The last thing we need is another bruising battle.over the Speaker’s job. We have a very narrow GOP margin in the House, and major problems to deal with in this country. Let’s see what Trump and Johnson and Thune will do as they get into legislative efforts. Let’s not despair yet, when Trump isn’t even in the White House yet.
I don’t understand why Mike Johnson allowed that criminally pork-loaded budget to go forward and questioned his intelligence, but Trump knows him better than I do.
One thing the Democrats do well is conform. Maybe it's because they don't believe in anything but power, but the MAGAs need to stick together; it's vitally important.
“We have a very narrow GOP margin in the House,”
Herein lies the problem, if this ‘Porkulus’ bill had passed with all the dems and a bunch of RINOs have just guaranteed the rats will take over in 2026. People can argue whether or not Johnson is the definition of a uniparty coalition but it matters not if the GOPe gets tossed in the next election like they always do when they act like democrats.
