I haven’t heard that song in years. I love Steve Taylor, and I have that album but the advent of digital sidelined all of my vinyl, though I still have them all.

I saw him several times in concert in Denver (he lived here back then). I always thought he was one of the smartest songwriters in the Christian music world, along with Terry Taylor (no relation) of Daniel Amos. In fact, it’s weird that Steve Taylor’s and Terry Taylor’s lyrical styles were so similar, although I think Terry Taylor’s lyrics were more complex and abstract.

Thanks for reminding me of “Hero.” Now all of his music is flooding back from my memory, especially “I want to be a clone.” And if you haven’t heard Daniel Amos (which I suspect is unlikely since you like Steve Taylor), their albums are fantastic, too.
