That law is likely unconstitutional, as a violation of free expression. Business owners still has their constitutional rights in how they wish to run their businesses.
I’m on the side of businesses who wish to minimize their risk by not taking in counterfeit bills.
Colorado is an anti-Constitutional state.
The loophole in the law is that the business can refuse cash if they have a device to accept pre-paid cards instead.

I’m not advocating against cash per se, just on the side of the business who doesn’t want to accept cash as long as they are willing to forego the business.
