Your education failed to teach you the difference between the Soviet Union and Russia. Russia, is the smaller country created when the Soviet Union collapsed and the US promised to not expand NATO to Russia’s border. So, you can read up on this. Russia is not the Soviet Union. By the way, as one who had those Duck and Cover drills, you might consider how moronic it is now for the US to launch missiles into Russia, with Russia having no way of knowing if they have nuclear warheads on them. And Russia has more nuclear missiles than we do. By all rights, they should send one to a NATO base or to whatever US commander ordered missiles shot at Russia.
