As I said, educating the population results in a financial net gain because those children end up paying for their education and contribute positively to the tax base. It’s a net positive to society to educate them. Not educating them would result in a poorer society.
This is not the case with healthcare. There is no net positive for society to use others to pay for your healthcare. It becomes a drain on them and inhibits them from having a future for themselves. My future was completely compromised by paying for my country’s healthcare.
Not ony do I not get healthcare when I will need it, my ability to financially support myself during this period is non-existent. The public pensions are not going to be there. I’m not going to have healthcare. The money I could have used for my benefit is spent. The kitty is empty.
Jr and Miss Princess will have paid back society by being able to earn higher incomes and contribute to taxes when they work. This is why public education is justifiable and healthcare is not.
How about Junior and the Little Princess refunding the school property taxes, adjusted for monetary inflation?
“This is why public education is justifiable and healthcare is not.”
Any K-12 graduate that believes one bovine per 20 acres can modify the climate is evidence I should have invested in an HSA instead of public K-12 education.
