Yes you can. In Spain, Portugal, Italy, and I think France you can easily get that deal, or better, for acreage, depending on location. They will also sell you an “abandoned” village house for one Euro, sometimes with attached land. And you can park your trailer too. I see lots.
Same in Japan.
That’s good to know about property in Europe. I can stand corrected on that. It just makes good financial sense to do that, because unclaimed property does not generate tax revenue.
