Writing for The Telegraph, Mr Farage, the Reform leader, said Mr Musk “left us in no doubt that he is right behind us” and launched “ongoing negotiations” about a financial contribution.
It is the first time that either Mr Farage or Mr Musk has acknowledged rumours that the latter is considering a multi-million pound donation, which could be the largest in British political history.
The SpaceX and Tesla entrepreneur is a vocal critic of the Labour Government and has accused Sir Keir Starmer of eroding freedom of speech by running a “tyrannical police state”.
Mr Farage shared a photograph of the two on Tuesday with the caption: “Britain needs Reform.” Mr Musk replied: “Absolutely.”

I think Reform are likely to win the next UK GE. Unfortunately, that isn’t until 2029 by which time Trump will be out of office.
The political winds seem to be changing rapidly. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some changes before then.
It will be next year. You watch. Starmer will lose the NCV.
Being born and raised in the UK, I can’t tell you how excited I am at seeing Elon turn his sights there.
I know many Americans that see the UK as ‘just some other Euro country’ or that which ‘we kicked their a**’...but what happens in the UK is often first, then it comes here. It has been a bastion of ‘cultural free speech’ for hundreds of years, yet was without a Constitution. Now that has been rapidly eroded, the ability to do this, along with whatever tactics are leveraged, will be tried here.
This was the country of the Crusades. It’s under attack by unconventional means, although the goal is the same...conquer the culture with Islam. Those (atheists) that hated Christianity welcomed the Muslims because they weren’t Christian. Now we have decades of ‘Islamophobia’ baked into their psyche - people shamed into silence if they speak out, ‘racist’ is the label. Those in power have realized how effective this is and are using it to crush dissent, eliminate free speech. Their error is thinking they’re still in control. They’re not. Muslims, in a parliamentary system, are gaining a disproportionate amount of power. They can shift any election by voting as a block, because they’re a lock-step block - everyone else is fragmented.
If England falls, it is a bell weather signal.
That said, there is an underswell of British spirit just boiling, needing leadership. I’d argue Tommy Robinson is just that but he’s been smeared for so many years by the media and establishment there needs to be another voice. I’m hoping Elon can be that voice. Tommy was banned from Twitter - due to pressure from the UK government. Since Elon took over Tommy has been reinstated, clearly Elon is following that situation. Tommy is at the center of the free speech problem, currently in prison for publicly playing a video that exposed the government and media corruption, because they BANNED it.
There’s something happening here...it’s not just local to USA politics. Dominoes are falling everywhere. Elon seems to be right in the middle.
They don’t Trump. If the Brits can’t figure it out on their own then their lost.
Cheer up mate. There are many millions of Americans who Love Nigel. I, and other Anglophiles have been following him since the early days of Brexit. From our side of the pond, he’s the only Brit politician who is a patriot to his county and is more of an American cheerleader than any Democrat over here.
,,, don't apologize. The wins along the way need to be celebrated.
It seems that the US, the UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Finland, Canada and Argentina have dumped or will dump socialist administrations that spread poverty evenly and are increasingly delighting in over reaching into the lives of their people.
Nigel Farage is the tonic that the UK needs.
I agree with your comments, but are you saying all of England has been bullied into submission? How is it that Kahn just got reelected to an unprecedented 3rd term? I look over there and just scratch my head and wonder how could the whole country just... go under like that.
Germany’s Chancellor just lost a no confidence vote and they will be having a snap election, right? Not sure how that fits in, don’t understand their politics.
,,, Germany. How could I forget Germany? Yeah, stability’s out the door there right now. The EU has let Brussels over regulate to the point where regulation has choked member states to near death. Regulation is now the EU’s leading trademark. Any drive from Brits to rejoin the union should be squashed. Keir Starmer wants to rejoin the EU. I recall a line from the late George Burns - “it’s too bad that everyone who knows how to run this country is out cutting hair or driving cabs.”
LOL, love that, love George Burns, don’t remember that one. That’s great!
