I heard a theory that these are nuclear ‘sniffer drones’. While Russia is tied up in Ukraine and the US and Euroweenies are focused on that, Iran and/or China have snuck nukes into the US. These drones are checking airports and ports for tell tale radiation. This makes as much sense as any other theory, especially since some drones apparently have red and green navigation lights, compliant with the law. Of course, the gubmint would not admit this, if it were true, because of the panic it would cause.

That is one hell of a theory.

Be aware however, such an attack could not be anonymous. Each nuclear weapon family has its own fingerprint. There is even a science dedicated to this, they call it Nuclear Forensics.

China knows this and probably wouldn't strike in this manner. Iran doesn't GAF, so they would.
