I was in Italy in October.
Yankees hats are very popular.

I am a Red Sox fan.
I was standing next to a guy in Rome who had an LA Dodgers hat on. I said to him at least you are not wearing a F’n Yankees hat. He just looked at me blankly.

Then I realized he did not speak English.

If I saw a guy in Rome wearing a Dodgers hat, I would assume he was a Roman despite his dress, and I would have said, “Almeno non indossi il cappello di quei dannati Yankees. Avanti, Dodgers!”

Or he was thinking “UGLY AMERICAN”. Why would you say the F word to someone you don’t know.....and in THEIR country.?
