The internet makes public schools completely and utterly obsolete

I'm not sure what you read, but I have consistently found that the quality of the material on the Internet is terrible and sparse compared to what is available in traditional books. This is true for technical and entertainment material.

If you think that a decent education can be obtained through the Internet alone, than I would call for a closer look at your standards of excellence.

There is tons of information out there and, no, the internet is no panacea, but the quantity and diversity of information and teaching tools for home schoolers boggles the mind. Public schools can’t hold a candle to it.

Literally.
