If the man’s drone had a cell phone or wifi connection for data, it may have raised its transmitter power to try to punch through any jamming. I doubt that would be much power compared to what is needed to fly, but it may have caused some increase in battery drain.
I watched the video. The guy was using a dinky little cheap mainstream drone—not sure why he thought he was going to be able to chase the foreign drones with that toy.
