Carl Reiner was a much-loved comedian and character actor. He remained close personal friends with Mel Brooks until Carl's death did them part. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall -- imagine the laughs at their nightly dinner meetups!

Rob Reiner has enormous talent as a director, but some kind of dark sludge in his heart that has been utterly self-defeating. I think I've seen Princess Bride half a dozen times, and several of his others—Stand By Me, Spinal Tap, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally.... Wonder if anything or anyone can get through to him, in that he has already issued a poisonous view of Christians.
