Reading “Plausible Denial” updated now. The conspiracy theories have a net tactic though: after all these years of demanding docs (which so far have no real smoking gun and in fact cast more shade on the CUBANS than anyone), the new conspiracy theory approach is “doesn’t matter if they release all the docs and the docs don’t show anything-—of course they don’t show anything because the CIA doctored all of them.” There gets a point when you can’t say every piece of evidence except human (fallible) eyewitness testimony is valid.
I have a big advantage. I don’t care who shot Kennedy. And conspiracy theorists always push a theory that makes the very people that they are against the conspirators. Left-wingers think right-wingers are behind everything. Right-wingers think the same in reverse. Anti-Semites think Jooos! are doing everything. Jews, of course, know that it’s the Nazis plotting a comeback. G-d is really behind it all, but everyone wants a theory validating their pet world view, and everyone wisely mistrusts the outward appearances of things.
There is a conspiracy going on right now that does concern me, and that’s the conspiracy to kill Trump. Whoever ultimately is behind it must be stopped. When Scooby and his friends catch him, we can take off his mask at last.
