I see your point, but the other side of the coin is that if they got right to the point where she decides to leave or stay, the song would only last about 10 seconds.
Lol, then it would be more like the Pink Floyd song “One of these days” , Where the song goes for 10 minutes, but only has like 13 words in it that are said once
