Good point. Terrible dictators are often replaced by even worse dictators. So the fall of a dictator is rarely an immediate cause for celebration.
Batista was replaced by Castro (as you noted).
Tsar Nicholas II was replaced by Lenin.
The Shah of Iran was replaced by Ayatollah Khomeini.
Etc.
I am reminded of today’s Iranians whose parents and grand parents rioted against the Shah and for the very government they have now.
