One of my Dads fellow employees told me that they would have punching matches in the office and my Father always won. They would hit one another on the shoulder until one quit and my dads toughest opponent was a Irish tough named Jim Walsh , they would fire shots until they couldn't lift their arms but my dad won most of the time but he was a former paratrooper in WW II and a guy who would not quit. Only time I saw him cry was when Jim Walsh succumbed to cancer while in his 40’s.

we used to do that as kids, but one of us would quit after a few really hard punches- the arm would go numb- and hurt for awhile after-
