A 100-year-old concentration camp guard dubbed last Nazi should stand trial accused of murdering 3,300 Holocaust victims, the German high court has ruled.
Gregor Formanek had successfully appealed a decision to put him on trial for the "cruel and treacherous killing" of victims at Sachsenhausen concentration camp, back in May. The Hanau Regional Court excused him from prosecution, based on medical evidence declaring that he had a "permanent incapacity to stand trial".
But now the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court has overturned that decision and sent the case back to Hanau for another hearing. This means that Formanek is likely to face trial early in 2025.
Born in Romania, Formanek was the son of a German-speaking master tailor and joined the SS in July 1943 as a member of the notorious Sachsenhausen battalion.
Set up in 1936, the camp was seen as a model training ground for Hitler's mass extermination of Jews. More than 200,000 prisoners passed through Sachsenhausen, notorious for its gas chambers and horrifying medical experiments.

At age 12, my Father carried his Dad around the house, he went to school, and worked in a Dairy before and after. When my Grandfather was affirmatively dying from stomach cancer. Grandpa had my father build him a coffin out of pine wood. He died, my father put him in the coffin, held up his Mother during the wake and burial, and continued supporting the family of 1 sister, 1 little brother and his mom until WW 2 broke out.
A 12 year old in the 1930’s was the equivalent of a 25 year old in 2024. You had to be tough, or you died. Soros made a choice, he chose the path of betraying his racial cousins for a profit and his life. He knew what he was doing, and he is quoted as saying “Those were the best years of his life”.
We could have brought them to the US and executed them.
Well the United States of Abortion also exports the industry via IPP (International Planned Parenthood) whenever a Democrat President is elected. See “Mexico City Policy”. We are pushing upwards of 65 million abortions since 1973. 6 million Jews are included among the mass genocide of some 14 million people’s in German during the Nazi reign. But I am not sure that a comparison of “mass genocide” and “abortion” is fair. We have no idea what we have lost due to abortion.

Not falling for anything.....was recounting the “legend” in the minds of many (including at one time the NYTimes) that Soros’ present villainy can be traced back to very early experiences which were “indicative” of what was to follow. It’s a cheesy pop-psychology perspective on things. There’s plenty enough in Soros’ current history, even if restricting it to our US borders, that is more than troubling,and plenty of quotes that indicate how much he hates America.
So, you have gone from “he was a Nazi” to “He hates America.”
I have no problem with the later. You are just wrong on the former.
