Sounds like Altra foods is organizing a protest to sell their milk for pouring down the drain.

A healthy, normal cow produces methane during digestion. That’s how nature designed them.

preventing that process will definitely have consequences elsewhere. For example, it may radically alter the cow’s digestive pH balance or cause issues elsewhere in its digestive system, necessitating drugs and chemicals added to treat those issues as well.

but above all, this technical, micro intervention to address macro political/propaganda theme, and societal behavior issue is pure marxist thinking.

We need this additive to save what glaciers we have left!!

No. The real victims were dinosaurs. Human colonizers have stolen their land and ecosystem, which was extra hot and wet, with lots of CO2. Justice demands that dinosaurs be restored to their rightful place.

believe it’s already been approved, we need to create a list of dairy farms and producers of dairy products who are refusing to use this new “additive”.

Which is why the FDA and their brownshirts in state health departments are trying to crush small family farms. Amos Miller anyone?

Look who manufacturers and promotes the methane inhibitor and the answer is there.

Careful. Gov’mt wants to destroy all dairy farms — ‘cause they are run by non-commie trash.

the additive “does not pose any food safety issues”

Where have we heard this before?

Gates has already messed up our food and our children's lives beyond recognition. Any up for another jab? There isn't one thing related to food he hasn't farted with. His Apeel "protectant" won't wash off so how far into our produce does it get? Will peeling fruit get rid of it or not? Oh, but it is safe!! Just like this cow fart eliminator! Maybe he should take it or does he not fart? RFK Jr can't get into office soon enough and I don't care how much he farts.

This deserves putting a pot of beans on to cook. Beans, beans, the wonderful fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot.

So people are supposed to buy the tainted milk & then pour it down the sink? :-)

They swore Mar-a-Lago would be under water before he finished his first term. Wouldn’t saving the glaciers also save Orange Man’s home? Ohh, decisions, decisions.

They also add Vitamin A Palmitate to milk. The Vitamin A sounds ok but the Palmitate is highly questionable. Not good for third trimester pg, messes with diabetics, could cause cancer and other diseases, blah, blah, etc. I’m trying to figure this additive out but too much science speak for me.

Cows don’t produce much gas any gas from the intestinal tract uunlike monogastric animals which have large colonies of bacteria in our lower GI tract which generates CO2 mostly and methane in small amounts. When monogastrics pass intestinal gas it’s not primarily methane it’s CO2
and nitrogen with trace methane only a tiny percent of people make enough methane to light it on fire should they pass it close to an open flame. Personally tested this and only one of five people we tested could be lit.

Cows and all ungulates ferment cellulose with bacterial colonies in their multi chambered stomachs so any methane produced is before the upper or lower iintestines and the pathway out of the animal is the esophagus not via the colon that’s many feet of animal away from from those colonies.

The ingredient likely responsible for the methane reduction is seaweed it inhibits an enzyme that methogens need to use to make.methane. Remember it’s the bacteria making the methane not the cow. The cow cannot digest grass aka cellulose it needs it’s bacteria to first produce cellulase enzymes that break the cellulose down to acetic acid which is the primary metabolic energy source of the cows metabolism. Methogenic bacteria also eat acetic acid and turn it into more bacteria and methane. While the cow gets its energy for metabolic use from the acetic acid its protein source is the very bacteria doing the work for the cow. Nearly all the protein in the intestinal tract absorbes in a grass feed cow is symbiotic bacterial in source. Grass is only 11% or so incomplete protein ,bacterial proteins are complete and 60+% by mass. Cows quite literally are bacterial fermentation factories they live only because of the massive amounts of bacteria in their stomachs ,intestines and colon. Cow fecal material is over 50% bacterial by mass and it’s so high in protein pigs will eat it as a primary food source. You can raise hogs nearly completely off cattle droppings as their primary protein source and a majority of their carbohydrate as well.

Here is one of many studies of using seaweed to inhibit methane production in cattle. Which regardless of the climate nonsense is good for the cow. Why? Every burb of methane is wasted energy for the cow that bacteria used to make methane taking from the acetic acid the cow needs to live and grow. Large amounts of gas can also give a cow bloat which can kill it so inhibiting gas production eliminates bloat less dead cows from bloat = more meat and milk and leather. Don’t be knee jerk , finger in the ears like lefties screaming orange man bad like they do but in this case screaming actual science bad it’s not a good look for people who want to be seen as the smarter group.

This additive is almost assuredly seaweed based. They could use the seaweed directly as a powder or extract the enzyme from it and concentrate that either way it is designed to inhibit methanogen bacteria from using the anaerobic fermentation products to produce methane which are stealing chemical energy from what the cow needs to grow. Every molecule of methane is less chemical energy for the cow to use for itself. Again cows do not make methane at all, bacteria in their stomachs do , bacteria that do not contribute to the symbiosis between the acetone bacteria and the cow.

We need a new US department and a new UN department that will diligently give this chemical to all the bison in the US and to all the grassland animals in Africa.

Its the only way to save us from Fartmageddon.

I can’t help but wonder what effect interfering with the normal digestive process of the cows is going to have on their health.

I’ve never seen a situation where it’s been beneficial.

Even if they did, at least they are knowingly making a choice to smoke and drink. If they add this shite to all the staple milk everybody but an actual dairy farmer is going to be forced to consume it unless they go vegan.
