In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Trump assassination attempt hearing devolves in to a screaming match, ransomnote wrote:

I always assume ‘likely sociopath’ when I see that tactic played out. The primary rule for this tactic is ‘get louder/angrier/wounded’ than your questioner at least by a factor of 2, and continue until the other person gives up.

As far as I could tell, Fallon was making the point that the SS violated protocol by putting their men out of position, needed to protect Trump, in order to get Rowe into the commemorative photograph of the 9/11 ceremony.
Rowe seemed to do a double-take, which I believe is when he shifted from defense to offense. I think Rowe has been coached to make this about his ‘public service’ ‘patriotism’ etc. and take down conversations which expose him with ‘patriotic outrage.’ Rowe accused Fallon of politicizing 9/11 and the sacrifices of SS.

I’ve known people to do this whom I believe were sociopathic. Among women it might be ‘who cries loudest’ to portray ‘who’s hurting who’ opposite reality. Mother in law calls crying and angry because Daughter in Law deceived her, took something etc. Daughter in law screams in outraged pain and makes as big a family mess as possible, perhaps driving off into the night, vowing to leave the marriage rather than take ‘the abuse’ from Mother In Law. Daughter in Law spirals this into potential custody issues now that she claims to ‘know ‘hubby loves his mother, not her’ because he asked what happened. She might switch to altruist mode, saying she has accepted her husband despises her, but she had always assumed he cared what happened to his child, asking how he could shatter the family. Lawyer contacts family re- separation and childcare etc. She keeps up the ‘outraged grief and victim hood’ as long as necessary. She will never answer the question.

This is similar to how Rowe instantly switched to patriot mode when he saw his chance; he portrayed his anger as 100% due to respect for 9/11 and first responders/SS sacrifices. He kept hitting ‘PUBLIC SERVANT!’ as if he has devoted his life to selflessly serving, all while behaving like a Mafia Don at a hearing to investigate his complicity in assassination attempt(s).

Really, sociopaths teach their victims that ‘question me and I will make you sorry’. The only way the example family (barely) stays together is that Daughter demands no mention of the ‘abuses’ she endured via Mother in Law. She can’t be questioned because of the mess it would make - it’s no longer a question but is then portrayed as an attack on the future of the children/custody ramifications.

So yes, Rowe has been intimidating people with tactics like that. He’s thrown down the gauntlet for the hearing - mention that again and he’ll have another go at it. How many in that hearing are unafraid of Rowe or what he can do to them? How many are simply of a constitution that can have a screaming match with a Mafia Don.

In the case of Sociopaths, crying/screaming does not exact an emotional toll on them. They are not ‘drained’ by it as they had no real emotions throughout the performance. Typically they will remain in manipulation/calculation mode - they may have high color in the face but that is part of sociopathic rage - they have to be superior and in control of others; without exception, others must circle around them and obey, defer.

Given that President Bush was in Florida at the time the twin towers were hit, what role did the SS have in NY City on 9/11 anyway?

Is a sociopath the same as a psychopath? I had a "friend" who I realized later was a psychopath, fit the definition perfectly. Aha, found this:

How Sociopaths Are Different from Psychopaths
