Considering the current state of our borders/policies I have to consider this H-1B flap has approximately the same urgency as debating the color/style of window shades in a burning house.

For those of us who have lost half or more of our career earning potential due to being displaced/replaced multiple times in our careers due to outsourcing and visa fraud, this issue is as critical as the borders being open to murderers, rapists, robbers, etc.

I’ve worked in the oil industry for over 30 years and you know what? The entire nation squalls and bawls wanting their cheap foreign oil without a care in the world for the lost earnings potential of THOUSANDS of workers in the domestic oil industry. (Not to mention all the foreigners taking OUR jobs, in higher numbers than H1B ever did).

Yet, the industry keeps going and doing the best we can and not once did we compare any hard worker to rapists and robbers and murderers…it’s just the kind of good folks we are.
