Also, did Mangione shoot Thompson (if indeed he was the shooter) because he was one of the few people that could out him since Thompson was also an expert computer guy?
Also, was Mangione just waiting to be caught? He's clearly a super smart guy with all the education he has had. Anyone contemplating a hit like he supposedly did would have had a jet plane ready to take him to a non-extradition country with few ties to the US for a return flight. Especially, with his resources.
Of course massive back pain likely plays into the equation as well. Could be why he left so much evidence in his car,gun, bullets,fake ID's on and on, when he was arrested. It was like he was working for the prosecution. He had to have been wanted to be caught. Little else makes sense.
Someone with time on their hands might be able to track down a lot more about the shooter and the victim,there's clearly a lot to this.
