There was a time, in the Victorian Era, when men were expected to provide a rather lavish lifestyle for their wives.
This led to many joining the military and/or becoming “confirmed bachelors”.
It also led to many women living lives of poverty, a fair amount resorting to prostitution to stay alive.
Similar story today as men eschew marriage and family and women embrace box wine, cats, and OnlyFans.
That's because men get the Trump treatment from the legal system. The only winning move is not to get married. As a result, we'll continue to suffer from a low birth rate and depend on immigration for economic growth.
So we need to overhaul our legal system to support traditional marriage. Not modern marriage.
