Hasbro stock surged early Friday after Elon Musk mused about buying the toy making powerhouse for the rights to Dungeons & Dragons. The day prior, Musk announced plans to start his own artificial intelligence video game studio.
Telsa (TSLA) and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is an avid video game player, previously touting on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that he ranks top 20 in the world for Diablo 4. Now, Musk appears to be adding video games to his production portfolio.

And Musk seems to want the rights to Dungeons & Dragons for the upcoming game studio. The tabletop role playing game is owned by Hasbro's Wizards of The Coast division and was created by Gary Gygax.
On Nov. 22, Musk responded to a post complaining about the Dungeons & Dragons 40th Anniversary "Making of Dungeons & Dragons" book. The poster alleged the book's forward "slams the original creators and attempts to distance themselves," from examples of sexism, cultural appropriation, and other problematic tropes within the original worldbuilding from the 1970s.
"Nobody, and I mean nobody, gets to trash E. Gary Gygax and the geniuses who created Dungeons & Dragons," Musk replied. "What the f*** is wrong with Hasbro and WOTC?? May they burn in hell."

I couldn’t care less about Musk’s fascination with D&D. If he decides to buy it, I just hope it doesn’t distract him from his Co-chair at DOGE.
Sets of Monopoly tokens are available for sale on Amazon for $10-$12, including a set that contains the Battleship, Boot, Cannon, Car, Iron, Scotty Dog, Top Hat, and the Wheelbarrow.
Hasn’t his lawyer explained to him what he can and can’t say?
>If you played an evil character wouldn’t angels be enemies?
I don’t have the text at my fingertips, but in official D&D, as long as he had any say in the matter, no.
As best I can paraphrase from 45ish years ago... your bad assassin can fight goodly people, virtuous dragons, noble unicorns, fine. Angels are emissaries of God and beyond the realm of things that have game mechanics and run out of hitpoints and die. (Nor, AFAIK, did he allow game stats to be present for any other major religion’s divinities; their “Deities and Demigods” had pagan deities galore, but no Mad Mo, no Hindu whatshisname, not even a buddha to kill if you met him on the road)
Well whaddayaknow, the vast and formless mass of the Internet turned up the very thing.

I’m not trying to (or going to) argue with you about what should be done or how a ‘monad’ or a ‘solar’ replaces X or Y or how many people decided to ignore the direction given (following a listing of said stats for the Biblical classes of angels in The Dragon #35); I put in the note as a data point of where EGG expressed D&D to be, as a counterweight to the current wokeness.
Good catch!
I didn’t know there was a Trump Monopoly Edition.
“Good. Maybe he can “un-retire” the iron.”
The iron? Did they get rid of that? I remember they ditched the cannon and the battleship, was it some kind of “woke” thing again?
Yeah. The iron has been gone a long time.
There’s a Wikipedia page re Monopoly. It shows a chart of all the pieces and their status as to active or retired.
