Ha! I wonder if we live in the same small town? We also have only one grocery store. Everyone — customers and employees — is very courteous and pleasant, without exception. I actually look forward to shopping there. Folks are always decent at the local Wally World too.
OH! I love it! There are “excuse me” and ‘sorry’ echoing off the walls there! It runs like a well oiled machine. They got a vibe in there. They even have carry outs to your car. The only thing missing about the 1970s grocery shopping experience is no S&H Green Stamps and there is no smoking in the store. Ground out cigarette butts on the floor of the grocery store seemed counterintuitive.
