Young ArGee’s cat is spending the weekend with the emergency clinic. An ultrasound showed hardening of her small intestine, thinking it’s related to IBD. They’re going to try to get some weight on the cat before sending her home where she will shortly be put on a prescription diet for IBD.
Young ArGee decided not to test for cancer as she would not put the cat through chemo if it were found, so this is the treatment.
In the meantime, trying to get the cat into the carrier last night resulted in multiple lacerations to Young ArGee’s arms and hands. She had to go to Urgent Care herself today because her thumb was swelling. She’s on an antibiotic and hoping her thumb will return to somewhat normal size before the cat comes home.
What an end to a week!

I’m so sorry for young ArGee and her cat. Tom is getting a kitten, which means Patrick is also getting a kitten, since they live together. A friend of my son-in-law has kittens to place.
We’ll see how it goes. I assume it will arrive next week, since he hasn’t said they got it already. It’s free and comes with stuff, but they’ll have to get it fixed and vaccinated, I think.
Hopefully they both will recover over the weekend!
