Good Monday Morning!
F-I-L passed away quietly at about 8PM last evening... M-I-L was there alone at his bedside (as she wanted it)... the whole family in the area (4 of his 5 children and spouses) gathered at our home to await M-I-L’s return... it was subdued and much relief was expressed that he didn’t linger any longer than he did...
On the Wordle front I finally broke my long string of 4s, but in the wrong direction...

As you’ve seen from my experience, M-I-L might become a little difficult as she processes her grief. Hopefully you are all stocked up on grace and empathy. You may need it.

Had Ana and Pete for the weekend... They went over to a friends place for some games Saturday night... When they came back, Pete started throwing up... Food poisoning. 6’2” 300lbs... With food poisoning...
My Daughter and I took turns keeping an eye on him all night Saturday and most of Sunday. Cleaning up was not fun...
He was feeling much better when their Mother came to pick them up last night.

I’m sorry about your F-i-L, but just remember that there are no rules for grief, and that everyone does it differently.
When my dad passed, we were at home, as no one realized he was so close to leaving us. Still, when we got to the hospital, he was already gone, and my mother spent about 10 minutes alone with him. When she came out, she was crying. He, too, had suffered enough.
My condolences and prayers for comfort for all of you. This is a very tender time for all your hearts.
